Child Safety Standards

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Operator: Socket LLC · Contact: safety@getsocket.app

Socket LLC is committed to child safety. Socket is a creator collaboration platform for people 13 and older, with a parent or guardian approving ages 13–17. We do not tolerate child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or the sexual exploitation of minors — on or off the product. This page describes our standards, reporting options, and enforcement for Google Play and other app stores.

Age: 13 and older, with a parent until 18

You must be at least 13 to create an account. Ages 13–17 can join only after a parent or guardian confirms they are the guardian and agrees to the terms. Until then the teen account stays limited. Anyone under 13 is turned away at signup and we do not create an account. This age rule needs legal review alongside the Terms and Privacy sections.

Not directed at children under 13

Socket is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data or created an account, contact us at safety@getsocket.app and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Prohibited: CSAM, grooming, and exploitation

The following are strictly prohibited on Socket and will result in removal and account bans, and may be reported to law enforcement:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including any sexual content involving anyone 17 or under — real, generated, or depicted.
  • Grooming or attempts to contact, solicit, or sexually exploit minors.
  • Trafficking, sexual exploitation, or any other abuse of children.
  • Sharing, requesting, or linking to such content anywhere on Socket (profiles, posts, messages, portfolios, or media URLs).

How to report

If you see CSAM, grooming, exploitation, or any child-safety concern, report it immediately:

  • In-app: use the report option on a profile, post, or message when that feature is available.
  • Email: safety@getsocket.app with as much detail as you can (profile links, screenshots, timestamps, message context). Do not attach or forward CSAM itself.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

Moderation and enforcement

Socket LLC reviews child-safety reports as a priority. When we confirm a violation, we:

  • Remove the content.
  • Ban the account (and related accounts when we can identify them).
  • Cooperate with law enforcement when required, including preserving and providing records in response to valid legal process.
