Send a notice to copyright@getsocket.app or use the form on this page. Socket does not delete the file. A person can disable it so it leaves public view. Plays, likes, and sales stay on the record so they can come back if the item is restored.
Before an upload, the artist confirms: I own or have the rights to this content, and it doesn't use a real person's likeness or voice without permission.
A counting copyright claim works like this. The first disables the item and warns the account. The second pauses uploads and sales for 30 days. The third terminates the account. A claim that was countered or restored does not count.
Earnings from the disputed item can be held, with the reason and a review-by date in the wallet. The rest of the wallet is not held. After a valid counter-notice, Socket schedules the item to come back in 10 business days unless a person records that the claimant filed suit.
