A creative network

Socket is a creative network. It is for work, collaboration, and the things creators make. Political content and sexual content do not belong here, including on a subscription.

No political content

Do not post campaigns, candidates, parties, political figures, or political debate. That includes names, slogans, and arguments about elections or officeholders.

No sexual content

Do not post nudity, sexually suggestive dancing, twerking, bouncing or exposed breasts, or anything that promotes an adult-subscription or adult-content site or link. A subscription does not change this. Adult content is not allowed on Socket, including behind a subscription.

No pornography on public content

Pornography of any kind is not tolerated on posts, public profile content, walls, or portfolio / public media. Posting pornographic content publicly results in automatic account suspension (immediate). We use conservative keyword and adult-site link filters on public create paths — not ML classifiers.

Direct messages are private. What people say in DMs is their business. Socket does not scan or auto-moderate DM bodies for sexual content in this MVP. Verified scouts may message creators without a Connection unless the creator opts out in Settings. Block and report still apply to those notes. False positive on the public filter? No harassment or discrimination

Harassment of any kind is not tolerated. Harassment or discrimination based on anything follows a strike ladder:

• 1st offense: warning + option to delete the offending comment or post. If you do not delete it within about 24 hours, your account is suspended.
• 2nd offense: suspended 30 days.
• 3rd offense: suspended indefinitely.

Be respectful

Treat other creators with courtesy. Critique work, not people. Differences in craft, style, or opinion are welcome — personal attacks are not.

The Outlet

The Outlet is a creator marketplace, not a general classifieds board. Creator Market is for a creator’s own paintings, drawings, photography, prints, music, books, instruments, cameras, audio and video gear, crafts, merch, and digital downloads. Community Market is only for fans selling merch, collectibles, signed items, art, or used instruments, cameras, and creative gear.

Prohibited: household goods, furniture, vehicles, lawn equipment, weapons, drugs, counterfeit or bootleg merch, and adult content. Report a listing that breaks this. Messaging and offers do not charge a card or spend Plugs. Checkout is not live.

No scams or illegal content

• No scams, phishing, spam, or misleading "opportunities" meant to exploit others.
• No illegal activity or content that violates the law, including anything involving the exploitation of minors.

Authentic portfolios

Share work that is yours or that you have rights to present. Do not impersonate others or pad portfolios with stolen or fabricated credits. Honest profiles help real collaborations happen.

Profile names

You can use a stage name, real name, or brand name — whatever fits how you create. No vulgar, obscene, or harassing names; no impersonation of others. Full rules on public content, harassment, and enforcement are in the sections below.

No pornography on public posts

No pornography of any kind on public posts (The Cable, profiles, groups, or other public surfaces). Private DMs stay private between participants. Posting porn publicly results in automatic suspension.

Harassment and discrimination

• First incident: warning, with an option to delete the offending content.
• If you refuse to remove it after a warning: suspension.
• Second offense: 30-day suspension.
• Third offense: indefinite suspension.

Report abuse

Use the Report control on posts, comments, or contact safety@getsocket.app with details (profile links, screenshots, timestamps) so we can review.

Enforcement

Socket LLC may warn, require deletion of content, remove content, or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines or our Terms. Suspended users see reason and timing on /suspended and cannot use write features until restored or a timed suspension ends. Celebrity / Verified badges are unrelated to this policy. We aim to be fair; decisions may consider context and severity.
